Planetary Annihilation Review

An Virtually Unknown Indie game with Epic potential
The first game I will be reviewing is Planetary Annihilation. I will be reviewing on 4 standards: Graphics, Idea, Difficulty and Audio.
First we will take a look at the idea of the game. The game starts when you and either an AI or another player lands on a planet as a commander. Commanders are fabrication bots (Fab Bot for short) and basic defense bots. To start you need to build an economy which consists of metal and energy, your commander can build metal extractors to produce metal and energy collectors which generate power. After building a basic economy building an basic factory should be a top priority. I suggest an air factory, these can build FAB aircraft (Builds: Advanced air factory, Basic Artillery) Scouts (I recommend to build one of these to find the enemy base as soon as possible) Bombers and fighters. Then build 3 FAB aircraft and task them to build an advanced air factory(Builds: Advanced FAB air, Advanced Bombers, Advanced Fighters) Then build Advanced FAB Aircraft (Builds: Holkins <Advanced Artillery> Nuclear launch pad, Advanced Metal extractor, Advanced Energy Collector, Orbital launcher, Advanced Radar) Use these to create an advanced economy. Then I recommend to build around 4 Air factories to start an bomber fleet (around 100 bombers) Or build an orbital launch pad and go to another planet for economy or just go overkill with attack bots and tanks (un recommended) And there is always nuclear force.
Planetary Annihilation has an beautiful soundtrack with scores that put me on the edge of my seat and have me humming it all day. With Dubstep in perfect harmony with Orchestra I’m break out in goosebumps multiple times. If only there is a download to this score. 5/5!Planetary Annihilation Boasts one of the best graphics for the type of style it is set in.  Although a decent computer is needed to run it.

  • Windows Vista, 7 or 8, Linux, or Mac OS/X 10.7+
    • We recommend 64-bit version, but 32-bit is supported in Windows
    • Mac and Linux require 64-bit
  • Dual core processor
  • We highly recommend having a DX11 capable card, and if discrete graphics (ATI/Nvidia), at least 1GB of dedicated system memory, and if running UMA integrated graphics such as Intel HD 3000/4000, at least 4GB of system memory
  • Open GL capable video card with Shader 3.0 support
  • Internet connection for internet connected gameplay
  • Additional requirements still to be set

Next is difficulty, I have (According to steam) played a total of 28 hours of continuously. Out of that I have only won around 2 games. nuff said. Due to new updates AI’s are extremely more aggressive, once your defence turret shoots down an enemy scout you better put up a lot of defence mechanisms including: Anti nuke towers, Defence towers and radars. Or you are screwed. My advice, look for another new player and have a less extreme match.
Final verdict 9.5 out of 10
